Hello List: I need some advice on how I start finding Naturalization papers or declaration of Intent, manifests etc. Not too familiar with the research part of this, I would like some advice on how one starts this research. My grandfather Frank ZELEVITCH came over Fr Poland (as stated on 1910 census) 1906. Just says Aus/Poland. He lived in Newark, NJ at the taken of the 1910 census. Where and who do I write to in Newark to obtain these papers. Also never requesting this before, what should I include in my request (what info do they need in order to search). I was told that my grandmother would become a citizen automatically once he became one. If this is true how can I get information on her then. Like where she was born, parents etc. Does anyone know approx. what time the 1910 census were taken? I was also that depending on this, I may have to write to the Archives.
