Hi, I think I have reached everyone individually who answered my question and I would like to explain my situation. My problem is that when I go into ancestry.com using the page number, the only members of the family who are living together are the parents with no mention of five children under the age of ten. The booklet from the NJ Archives describes the census as listing names, sex, ages, occupation, whether in school and whether they are literate. I assumed it covered children but ours have disappeared. I know that ancestry extracted only names and wards which is a help, but I didn't think that they would eliminate children. I can tell by reading the pages that other families do have children (or possibly other family members). Now I have to start looking for the young ones. Another mystery!
