I am aware of a Riker Hill in Livingston, New Jersey, in Essex County (see URL below). I don't know the origins of that name, but perhaps the Livingston Historical Society has information about the Riker name. I don't believe they have a phone or museum and I don't have their address at home. I do have it at our museum and you are welcome to e-mail me for more information about that. There is an art park at Riker Hill and I found a Web site that might be of interest: http://co.essex.nj.us/riker.htm Lynne Ranieri Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society DReece1952@aol.com wrote: > > I am seraching for any information on Rikers in NJ throughout the 1800s. > > I am a descendant of Elizabeth Riker and George Lovelace m 1872 in Newark NJ, > daughter of George and Elizabeth Riker.
