Thomas Burnet settled in Southampton, Long Island in the early 1640's and was progenitor of a large number of descendants who lived in the counties of northern New Jersey and elsewhere. We now have a Rootsweb mailing list, BURNET-THOMAS-L, to encourage exchange of information on any matters related to the descendants, ancestors and relatives of Thomas Burnet.
