Hi, I just finished reading the mail from other Essex researchers. I want to comment on the LDS FHC. I went to one here in Idaho last week and I sat for an hour and more with a woman who was willing to take time to help me. However, when I went to a different one here in town, my husband and I were basically ignored. Noone asked if we needed help. All they did was inquire if we had made an appointment to use the computers. Needless to say, we came away without much information and a rather bad attitude in general. When you are new to a place like that, it would be helpful to have someone at least ask and show you where to find tapes,books etc. It really was rather uncomfortable. As I said, the first one I went to was more than helpful. I guess it all depends on how much "traffic" they get. I guess all I can say is, if one doesn't feel right, try another.
