I recently came across an obituary for John Wilson VAN DUYNE (b 12 June 1844) published in The Progress, the local newspaper for Caldwell, NJ. The date of the obituary is 1934, and his death date would be 28 Jul 1934 but other information I'd gotten online had him dying in 1944. The Progress is frequently wrong in details, but I figure they probably can manage to get their publication data right (you have to read this paper to appreciate their problem with "details") In addition, The Progress gives him three additional surviving children- all married daughters- and these were not included in my original data. Their married names were: Mrs. Marella Norwood, Mrs. Reginald Russell and Mrs. Elmer Thompson. He also had grandchildren and such. I'd appreciate more information about this family and clarification about the death data. Regards- Bev Crifasi
