    3. Hi Jane, Glen Ridge is a small residential town. It is long and narrow, most of it's streets run off of Ridgewood Avenue. They have a Public Library located directly across from the Glen Ridge Middle School, 235 Ridgewood Avenue, on the corner of Bloomfield Avenue. The library's telephone number is (973) 748-5482. I know they have a historical society and I believe they are at the Library once a week. I'm not sure which day, but I can call tomorrow and find out for you. I think you will love the town, it's lovely. It's the only town in the area sporting gaslights on every street corner. The local newspaper is the Independent Press, 266 Liberty Street, Bloomfield. I hope this helps.
