Hello again list: Does anyone have access to city directories for the town of Newark? I need to find out where my father was living from 1925 to 1939. Any years mention would be appreciated. I'm not too familiar with directories, and I hope this is not asking too much. I was told that directories have some great information on them sometimes. His name is Peter ZELEWITZ and the 1940 directory showed him at 444 Orange Street in Newark living with Estelle ZELEWITZ. I am trying narrow down the area when and where he got married to his first wife and from there to see if they had any children together. He never told my mother, probably due to the fact that she deserted him while in WW2. The old dear John thing.
