Hello, Summit is in Union County, but is just on the other side of the road that separates it from Short Hills and Millburn in Essex County. For many years Overlook Hospital has also serviced residents of Millburn and Short Hills. I will try to find information for you about James Ryan of Short Hills, when I am next at the museum.
