Hi, It usually takes about 8 weeks but they are very helpful. I sent for a birth certificate from 1867. They didn't have a birth certificate but sent a copy from the Newark Diocesan Archives that gave me not only the birth information I wanted but information about 5 siblings (date of birth, church of baptism and the FHL number). Also, if you are requesting information I don't use a form. I simply give the name, possible date and parent's information. It worked every time so far.
