I am trying to trace the decendant line of CHRISTOPHER S. KILLEEN born on 25 December 1889 in Newark, Essex County, NJ to JOHN JOSEPH KILLEEN and MARY RYDER, both born in Ireland. Eleven children were born to JOHN JOSEPH and MARY (RYDER) KILLEEN. By the year 1910, only six children were living. They were: MARGARET KILLEEN (never married), JOHN JOSEPH KILLEEN (our line; married ELIZABETH PARKER born in Country Leitrim, Ireland), CHRISTOPHER S. KILLEEN (this is the line that I am trying to trace the decendants of), PETER FRANCIS KILLEEN (married DOROTHY AGNES NICHOLSON), FRANK KILLEEN (died of illness during WWI), MARY KILLEEN (may have died as a child). They were all born in Newark between the years of 1882 and 1898. CHRISTOPHER S. KILLEEN married MARY MARES born approx. in 1901 ( 1920 Census of Orange, Essex Co., NJ says her birthplace is Slavok). They had two daughters, whose given names I don't know. The daughters may have been born in the early 1920's. In the 1920 Census, CHRISTOPHER S. KILLEEN and his wife MARY (MARES) were living in Orange, Essex County, NJ with his father and some of his siblings. CHRISTOPHER S. KILLEEN at that time was a waiter. However, the older surviving members of our family have said that it is believed that CHRISTOPHER S. KILLEEN may have had a farm in Northern NJ somewheres, possibly in Hudson County. CHRISTOPHER S. KILLEEN died on 13 July 1935, at the age of 45 +, in Memorial Hospital, Orange, Essex County, NJ. Obituary makes no mention of his children, only his wife, MARY and only one brother, PETER KILLEEN, at whose home in Orange, CHRISTOPHER S. KILLEEN was staying with while very ill with cancer. No one knows what happened to MARY (MARES) KILLEEN and her two daughters. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Sonja K. Killeen
