    3. Marie, Thing have actually gotten worse. A friend of my cousin was mugged there and his father was murdered at the cemetery. People (and I'm being polite calling them that) have broken into the mausoleums and have stolen jewelry from the caskets. If you go, go in the middle of the day and stop by the main office and they will provide an armed guard. My mother's family is buried there so I go about every six months. I haven't had a problem, but I'm not taking chances. Once my car's alternator died in the cemetery and I couldn't convince AAA to send someone out ("let me get this straight, your car died in a cemetery in East Orange and you want us to come out?!?") I ended up getting a jump from some of the cemetery workers who were coming back from a dig with their backhoe. It all seemed like a really bad episode from "Tales from the Crypt". I would be very careful going there. ----- Original Message ----- From: Marie Bartley Coppola <mcoppola@sprynet.com> To: <NJESSEX-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 19, 1999 4:52 PM Subject: Re: [NJESSEX] Cemetery Photography Website > Hi Meredith, > > My husband's parents are buried there (Holy Sepulchre).
