My Aunt and I were in NJ in the Spring of 1998. We went to Fairmount Cemetery and were given an escort who stayed with us while we visited our family gravesites. He was very nice. Told us how dangerous it was to visit there and to always ask for assistance. Told us someone had been murdered there and to take no chances. We also went to the cemetery (can't for the life of me remember the name of it or the church..).where "Caldwell, the Fighting Pastor" is buried. It was a bit scarey there too, but we have SO much family there that we went about our business filming and taking pictures. I was a bit depressed at how ill taken care of the graveyard was. Very rundown...The tombs in back caving in....Isn't there any money for historical sites??
