Does anyone know anything about the Cedar Avenue Presbyterian Church in Montclair? I haven't been able to locate it. According to her 1909 obituary my husband's grandmother, Martha FOSTER MCQUOID was a "prominent" member of the church. I'm trying to find out where in Canada she was born and am hoping there might be some reference in her church records. Thanks, Carolyn grucog@txdirect.net

You definitely can get copies of such things as naturalization papers by mail from the Regional Archives in NYC. You can e-mail or snail mail your request to them. This is their URL: http://www.nara.gov/regional/newyork.html Janice Danks DMS59Dart@aol.com wrote: > A lot of you asked me some questions. I hope this answers most of them. Hi, I have 2 requests: 1. I am looking for the address of Joseph MCCAULEY in Newark in 1909-1910. Does anyone have access to those year's city directories? I am trying to find him in the 1910 census. 2. Does anyone have a CD of NJ marriages that would include the 1800's? I am looking for the marriage of Joseph MCCAULEY and Catherine FLYNN (or possibly MCENROE). I believe they were married in Newark in the 1800's, but couldn't pinpoint the year. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance Gail in Chicago

Well, today was my last day to view the Intents, and got through a few more pages - to those I was able to find I e-mailed you privately - to those others, I am sorry but I had minor surgery on Friday and couldn't stay very long at the library. Don't be disheartened - like I said there are pages and pages - and thousands of names - I may have missed yours. In addition, remember, you could declare your intention in ANY court - even right off the boat you came on. Dave's information was VERY informative, but alas, for those of you whose ancestors came earlier as mine did, the clerk in Essex Co at the time of around 1851-1860 was a JR Weeks and he did not record very much information at all as I can attest to having either the originals or copy in my possession. Hoping I was able to help some at least. Good luck, Barbara
