Had 10 children, including: George, Ann, Helen (Nelly), Frederick Eugene (FE), Jane, Theodore, Ernest, Robert, William Son FE later settled in Chicago, and father James went to visit him in 1881, leaving Martha in NJ. 2. Joan M. Lowry
    3. David Checking the NJ State Archives website, as someone else suggested, is a good place to start. They do have copies of the records on microfilm. However, they cannot service that collection for requests by mail or email. They can provide you with a list of researchers that use their collections and could make the copies for you for a reasonable fee. You might also check the lists of professional researchers available on the following websites: http://www.gsnj.org http://www.jerseyhistory.org/genealogy_researchers.html http://www.rootsweb.com/~njgenweb/research/genealogist.html http://www.apgen.org/localchapters/newyork/index.html http://www.apgen.org/directory/index.php On the GSNJ website look for the "Professional Researchers" link in the column on the left. I hope these lists will help you find someone to assist with your research! Joan M. 1. [NJESSEX] WISS scissors
    2. Hello~~ Can some kind soul please tell me the address (I believe on Central Ave.?) where WISS scissor factory was located in NEWARK? I've been told it was right near where the road divides. I think the full name was J. WISS & SONS CO. It was there from ca. 1885-1969 when it was purchased by BOKER. Perhaps someone could look it up in a city directory for me as I'm not able to get access to them. A map of that location would be a real plus!!! TYIA, Joan DeChellis I'm trying to locate my father's store (BROWN'S MARKET)which I'm told was "directly across the street" from there in the 1940's.

HOLE/HOEL/HOWELL? b c 1700 -where? d 1749 NJ m Sarah SMITH who is prob the dau. of Henry SMITH who died in Elizabeth Town, Essex Co., NJ 1759 and names her (Sarah HOLE) in his will. Chas. HOLE was in Southold, LI, Suffolk Co., NY in 1727 where he was named executor of a will. By 1732 he was witnessing many wills in Elizabeth, NJ. It would seem Chas. migrated to NJ with the BADGLEY family. Some of The Passaic Valley info on Chas. is incorrect - shows his children, but his will does not have the same names. Was Chas. in fact part of the LI HOWELL? Howell is sometimes also spelled HOLE and HOEL. Does anyone have info on this Charles and his family?
