    3. I don't mean to send you way outside of NJ, but I had an Great Aunt that had TB and went to the Trudeau Sanitorium in Saranac Lake NY. It had a good reputation, and even though my Aunt's family lived in New York City, there were trains running between NYC and Saranac Lake. I have a similar problem with getting a death certificate or finding a record of her death. I found a patient card indicating when she was admitted to the Trudeau Sanitorium, but it is still a mystery if she died in Saranac Lake, or back in NYC. Art -----Original Message----- From: C.C. I tried to get a death certificate from Health & Sr Services, but they could find no record of his death in Newark. This makes me wonder if he was taken to a TB hospital in county but outside of the city. Does anyone have an idea where else he might have been sent in this time frame? I first found them in the 1850 census in Newark, NJ. Their first child, Rachel was born in NY in 1841. They were living in NY when their 3rd child Hanna was born in 1845. It's odd to me that Karl came from Bavaria with a non-sounding German name. I was wondering if there is an area in Bavaria where the names of Adam and Kloss would be concentrated so I might be able to trace Karl's German roots. 3. Hello Fellow Listers Regarding Lookups in New Jersey: Below are several websites you can check out to find reasonably priced professional genealogists working in New Jersey. Most list their specialties and locations. There are a number of people available on these lists who have experience in and do research in Essex County. http://www.gsnj.org http://www.jerseyhistory.org/genealogy_researchers.html http://www.rootsweb.com/~njgenweb/research/genealogist.html http://www.apgen.org/localchapters/newyork/index.html http://www.apgen.org/directory/index.php On the GSNJ website look for the "Professional Researchers" link in the column on the left. I hope these lists will help you find someone to assist with your research! Joan M. I have to find a Newspaper that had a list a court papers with my ggrandmothe side of the family I know it out there but at 10, [I was 10 the paper was from the 1920s ] I just do not remember were the court or paper was from. >>* This plan represents an annual commitment with payments in monthly installments<< I stay away for the paying for this info.
