If anyone would be willing to look up this Newark obit, I would greatly appreciate it and of course reimburse the cost: Charles Munson, died December 26, 1929, age ca. 68. Survivors would include wife Augusta and two granddaughters. The latest address I have, from the 1920 Census, is 17 1/2 Summer Avenue, Newark. Thanks much, Barbara Proko New Britain, CT

Hi Listers, My name is Carol and I am new to this list. I am trying to find information on Dorothy Weston born abt 1938 and her brother Ned (Edward?) Weston born abt 1940. At that time they were living in Essex Cty NJ. Please bear with me while I try to briefly tell the story. My mother Dorothy Gebicker married Ned Weston Sr when she was about 17. Sadly, he physically abused her (beat) on a daily basis due to his having a very controlling personality. I am being kind as to what my mother actually had to endure. Back in those days a womans back was against the wall. She finally told him she was leaving and taking the children and he told her if she left with the kids he would find the 3 of them and make her watch while he killed the children and then her! She endured many more beatings and finally left. She stayed a couple blocks away and was able to SEE the children from a distance for awhile. There was no further contact. In 1943 my father Charles Stefanik and my mother,Dorothy Gebicker (Weston) married. I have been told that my father Charles forbid my mother to have contact with her children from her previous marriage! I did not learn ANY of this until after the deaths of my parents, Charles and Dorothy. I was hurt and outraged! All I know is the senior Weston married an older woman that raised the children and that little Dorothy married, then divorced because she was being physically abused by her husband. I was told little Dorothy kept in touch with my half/aunt until her divorce and nothing since. It is assumed they were still in NJ. The senior Weston worked as a trash collector for the city, probably Newark. I cannot describe what is in my heart for these 2 children. I have made it my lifes goal from here on to locate them and share with them my mothers story and life, if they are open to it. Please if anyone can help me with this searc I would be so greatful.Thank you so much for letting me share this journey. Carol Davison

If anyone or Coyne researchers run across or can come up with the surname Cloyne, I'd sure appreciate it. I just come up with the Bishop or town. It's for a guy who's been searching many years and at a complete standstill. I saw four in the whole of Ireland, in Longford, but can't find their parents or siblings to tell if they are belong to his from 1822. Hi I am still doing searches, did get some positive results which have been emailed. My eyes get a little tired so it's possible I am overlooking some names, because I have found one I previously couldn't find on my 2nd & 3rd visits. So the ones I emailed with no results, I will look again next week (going to NC to get away from the Ohio snow) I have the index until April 7th. I have exhausted all various spellings of my grandmothers maiden name on ellisisland.org According to the 1930 Fed Census she claims she arrived in the US in 1906 Did everyone who came to the US through New York enter through Ellis Island? Anyone have any ideas where I could possibly look her up? I did send to SSA for her long form SSN application, but I am getting ants in my pants. SallyEllen R. Hello Essex NJ Can anyone tell me if voter lists or registrations exist for Orange NJ for the 1860s and 1870s, and if so, would the birthplace of the voter be identified? My GGF was naturalized in Newark in 1868, renouncing the King of Austria. He had a small merchant tailor shop on Main Street in Orange. Any other records for that period that asked for a birthplace would be most helpful. His 1881 death record says "Germaney" but no town or village is given. Many thanks. Dave B.
