When my friend stopped by yesterday to go over what I found so far, he corrected me. This Vet project is all KIA, MIA, POW and anyone that had wounds when they came home and die from it. If they died from WWI, WWII, Korean or Vietnam Wars, those are the ones I'm collecting info on. I have 8 pages of WWII, I'm still typing them up. I didn't get a chance to finish yesterday with Joe being here. It's taking time because I'm reading names from 4 sources. I'm trying to consolidate all the many lists Jim gave me by typing them up on one main source. Thanks in advance to all who are able to help up out. Karen L. Day
I'm doing a Vet project for my friend. I'm researching all of Bergen Co., NJ for Vet's from WWI, WWII, Korean and Vietnam Wars. My friend has put Waldwick on cable and by next year (Memorial Day) he would like to have a program ready with all the Vet's of Bergen Co., NJ. I still need to type up the names for WWII, I have 8 pages of names. However, I have typed up the other names and I'm asking for any further info on any of these Vet's. If there is a Vet missing from these Wars on my list, don't hesitate to add a name. We are looking for additional info on them and any pictures that are available. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Karen L. Day See Below the names... Korean War-Bergen Co., NJ Bernard A. Chopek-Waldwick SGT. KIA, Oct. 8, 1952 Lloyd Coombs-Tenafly Walter J. Lost track of this family after that. Can someone please check the 1905 or 1910 census for Margarette and Ethel Seebach? Could she have gotten married in New Jersey between 1900 and 1910? Can anyone help??? Thank you all so very much, Dee. ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Could someone find the census record for Anna Maria BRAUN who in Nov. 1904 resided at 309 South Sixth St, Newark? It would need to be someone who has access to the census that could find 309 South 6th St., Newark in the census. I would appreciate any information that might be available. Anna Maria was 81 years of age when she died in 1904. She was born in Germany. I am trying to find any information that might link her to my great grandfather, John BRAUN (1848-1898) who was born in Germany but came to Newark in 1880 and died there in 1898. Thank you. Mona in Richmond, Indiana
Could someone find the census record for Anna Maria BRAUN who in Nov. 1904 resided at 309 South Sixth St, Newark. That is where she died and where I would assume she was living in 1900 when the census was taken. I would appreciate any information that might be available. I'm researching a French Canadian couple who were living at 19 Belleville Ave., Newark, as of the 1910 census. Their 10 children are listed as all having been born in NJ between 1893 (or earlier -- one died at birth, year not listed) and 1909. Was there any particular Roman Catholic parish that French Canadians in this neighborhood would have been likely to attend? I found St. Michael's listed at 172-178 Belleville (now Broadway), but it looks Irish (judging from the priests' names on oldnewark.com. I'm hoping to find baptism records that might indicate where the husband and wife were born. The husband's job is described as foreman in a thread mill. The 3 oldest children also worked there. I'm curious as to the name/address of this mill. Thanks for any help! Barbara
Mona, I think this page from "Old Newark" might help you. http://www.oldnewark.com/busind/funeral/index.htm Helen http://NJKithAndKin.com
