He was living there when the 1910 census was taken, as well as his wife and 4 daughters. My aunt related to me that she was told that during the week my great-grandmother and the daughters "lived in town" in a boardinghouse so that the daughters could go to school, as the lighthouse was surrounded by marsh and you couldn't just walk to school from there. Is there anybody with a good knowledge of the area that could make a guess as to what town would've had a school in 1910 that these daughters would've attended? Fortescue? Port Norris? Mauricetown? Thanks. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If you would like to reply to them, please click on the Message Board URL link above and respond on the board.
