nj We are looking for the descendants of the 1774 tea burners. Some of them were tried in court, twice. Their names have been elusive, but their families are even more so. There are 23 listed on the 1908 Tea burners monument. Interesting facts - It is not just a Greenwich event. Seven were from Fairfield Township, four from Bridgetown, four from Shiloh and seven from Greenwich. That explains why they would need to meet at the Howell house between Shiloh and Roadstown. They were for the most part very young. There is a discrepancy; there are two Silas Newcombs that could be participating One 51 and his son 19 years old.
