    3. Hello, This Montgomery County, Indiana County Historical Atlas is FULL of Husted (and VanCleave) relatives. It looks like they all converged back together! AMAZING!!! Some from NJ; some from Virginia; some from Kentucky... 1. Who is this Husted? ** *HISTORY of Montgomery County, Indiana at: http://history.cdpl.lib.in.us/atlases/1878montco.pdf* *Hunt, Wilson. P.O. Darlington, Breeder of Short-horn cattle, etc., son of Charles and Mary Hunt, was born in Butler Co., O, Oct. 2, 1827, and settled in Union Township with his parents in 1854. September 3, 1853, he married Mary E Husted, of Union Co., Ind. They have six children - John C, William W., Charles M, Newton H., Elanorah and Bruce* 2. I believe these Chadwicks are related to John Chadwick, husband of Ann Husted, sibling? to my John, b. 1758 *Chadwick, J. P.O. Mace; Farmer, Sec. 12, was born in Fleming Co., Ky, Oct 20?, 1807, and settled in this township in 1834. Married Penina Vanhook Nov. 25, 1830? Children's names are George H., Jeremiah T., Jemina Jane, Esther, James M., Eli A., John F. (or Jehu F.), and Nancy Ann, who died in infancy.* *Chadwick, Jeremiah T., P.O. Mace, Farmer and Stock Raiser, Section 12, son of Jehu and Penina; was born in this county, February 26, 1836. Married Harriet C. Burroughs, September 27, 1860, Children - William H. and Henry A. * John and Ann Husted lived in Fayette, Pennsylvania, in the same area as Robert Hustead. John was murdered at his tavern in 1794 in Fayette, Pennsylvania. His children's names were: John, *Jehu* and Mary. 3. A William Fisher married Catherine Husted, daughter of Gilbert Husted, in Woodford Co., KY. Gilbert was in Fayette County, KY in 1789... *Fisher, James S., P.O. New Market, Farmer, Son of Samuel and Sally Fisher, who settled in county in October, 1829; was born in Fayette County, Kentucky, July 26, 1820; settled on Section 11, this township, September 1849; married Barbara E Rice January 15, 1846 in Fayette, Kentucky. Two children: Samuel R and Sally M*. *Moore, Samuel...son of William and Elizabeth Moore... first married Ann E Fisher..* *VanCleave, Rev. Jonathan (another one of my lines)..."P.O. New Market; Farmer and Minister; son of Ralph and Elizabeth Van Cleave; who settled on Section 18 in 1826; was born in Shelby Co., Ky., Dec 13, 1805, and settled on Section 4 in 1826. Sept. 6, 1827 he married Elizabeth Van Cleave; had ten children: Anna (dead); William (died at the age of three and half years); David; Lucy (now Mrs. M. Shelton); Ralph; Jane (now Mrs. Wm Coons); Ransom; Adam; Aaron (died at the age of twenty-four); Emily E. (now Mrs. M. Badgley). Mr. Vancleave was ordained a regular minister of the Gospel by the Indian Creek Old School Baptist Church, in 1849. At the same time he began repairing firearms, at which, and farming, he has since been engaged.* 4. Davis' married into Husteds in Virginia.... *Davis, John L., P. O. Crawfordsville. Farmer. Section 25, son of Randolph and Abigail Hoel? Davis. Was born Apr 4, 1831. His parents were natives of New Jersey; married in Butler Co., Ohio, and settled in this county in 1826; on the land where his mother-in-law now in her 83d? year still lives; married Feb 6 1862, Miss Eliza E., daughter of George W and Margery Van Cleave- Benetiel, natives of Kentucky, and married in Shelby County of that state, 1826. Mrs. Davis was born on the farm where they now live, Dec 21, 1804? 1834?. Children's names - George E., Dec 8, 1862; Little Harry, Apr 16, 1864, died Aug 30, 1864; Margery S., Nov 8, 1866. Mr. Davis was mad a Master Mason in Montgomery Lodge, No. 30, June 11, 1852? Royal Arch Mason, in Crawfordsville..."* 5. Another Fisher... perhaps son of William Fisher, son of Catherine Husted and William Fisher? *Fisher, Wm. J. P. O. Whitesville. Was born in Oldham Co., Ky, Oct 24, 1827 and settled in this county in 1852; married Oct 29, 1851, Miss Louisa C. daughter of James and Phebe Montgomery, natives of Ky., who was born on Sec 27. Sept 20, 1830; children's names are: Ada E. (now Mrs. J. M. Cohoon; Jas? Edwin, Nannie B., Keziah J., Montgomery B., James A. and Anna Belle. Mr Fisher began life a poor man comencing the improvement of present home in 1855, surrounded by the forest, but by hard labor, industry and economy, has now a farm of over 200 acres of fine land, and engaged in farming and stock raising, his residence being on Sec 26.* 6. A Thomas Taylor married my John's daughter. They bought land in this county in 1830-1833. *Taylor, H. W. MD - native of Augusta Virginia; settled here in 1872.* *Taylor, G. W. native of Augusta, Virginia, settled here in 1874* 7. A John Hawk, son of Johannes Jacob Hawk of Pennsylvania married Hannah Husted, daughter of my John. This appears to be John's son, Phillip, with his second wife. Thank you Audrey! *Hawk, Philip. P. O. Boston Store., a native of Pa., settled in this county in 1838.* That is it for now! Kathie -- M.
