I have C. Everett as being married twice; once to Rebecca (unknown maiden name) & once to Helen Hay. Which one of his wives had the children & can you fill me in the last names of all those you've mentioned in your posting, including your Dad? I am posting on an online family tree site called www.geni.com, which you can go online & join for free, if you wish to. It might help you to find your geneology again. I will add the names in that you gave me, including yours & then invite you to join: I'll need your email address. My mother spoke often about Alice & C. Everett but she never visited them as far as I know. She even showed me where Alice lived once when she & I were driving all over Cumberland County photo-documenting places she's lived as a child & young married woman. My mom never had any compunctions about "dropping in" on people, so I don't know why she didn't drop in on Alice while we were in the nieghborhood. My grandfather did not seem to be close with the rest of his family, except for his sisters Lulu & Bessie. He & my grandmother did take care of his mother & father during their elder years & when his father died, his mother came to live with him. (She died at their home right before I was born). When she was young, my mother went to school in Millville where Everett either taught or was principal. I am wracking my brain to think of the name of the school, but can't come up with it right now. FYI: Charles isn't the only "black sheep". Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
