I did eventually find the Taylor line I was researching but never connected it with this one. My interest stemmed from the name Ervin which may have been the middle name of Richard E Taylor of Centre Grove NJ. There is a dispute between Ervin and Erwin. The Centre Grove Taylors came to NJ from England via Canada in the late 1800s. They originally farmed in Vineland NJ, probably drawn there by the ads of Charles Landis. They apparently didn't care for NJ either as 2 brothers continued on to Texas in search of better land. One of them died there of yellow fever and so the remaining members stayed in Centre Grove. As far as I can discern, they were not related to other Taylors living in the Cumberland County NJ area of that time. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
