    2. Many families have oral history that can't be proven. I've also heard and read of a GARRISON story about a Swedish Princess who was shipwrecked and rescued by a GARRISON hunter. If the stories have any merit there would need to be some sort of evidence to support it. Show us the evidence. It reminds me of the story that went unchallenged for a hundred years in the HAINES family of Burlington County that Richard HAINES' wife Mary CARLILE was a Native American who was taken in by an English family and taught to read and write. The story was very elaborate and was spread from generation to generation until about 10 years when the evidence was found to prove that Mary CARLILE was of French huguenot descent explaining her dark eyes and hair that had been rumored to be Indian. I agree with you that oral history needs some evidence to prove or disprove it. It's great that we now have DNA testing that can provide scientific evidence on ancient origins.
