You state this as if it were well-known but what is it based upon? The Garrison family also has a legend of a Swedish Princess who was shipwrecked and rescued by a GARRISON whom she married. There are lots of family stories out there. Some may be true and able to be supported with facts, others may have a kernel of truth, and others are completely without merit.
