    3. Hello Barbara, Wanted to try and get some order to the information I have about Vineyard/Weinbergs and have been going crazy with all the German names and have yet to sort them all out as there are an incredible number of repeat names. However, it seems as you said your husband's great, great grandfather (Fredrich Heinrich Wilhelm Weinberg) and my great, great, great grandfather (Christian Heinrich Weinberg) were brothers. I have found a ship manifest for a ship named Theone sailing from Bremen and arriving in New York on 17 Oct. 1867. On the list are the following people (all from Prussia): Christian Weinberg 38 Henriette " 40 Christoph " 46 Henriette " 45 John " 16 Ludwig " 18 Louise " 16 Wilhelmina " 9 Charles " 7 Henry " 4 All are reported to be headed for Cumberland, which leads me to believe that they already had family or friends there. On the same ship there was also: Margaretha Schafer 44 also from Prussia heading to Cumberland and Wilhemine Liebe 30 from Bavaria heading to Cumberland These last two would have been in the same German community there. Also in the 1900 and 1910 Cumberland county census there is a Fred Vineyard who was born around 1847 and who claims in the 1900 census to have arrived in 1865, which would have put him in NJ 2 years before the people above. Still looking for info on those people. thanks for the marriage info on Minnie and Henry Ruberts. Checked and Swing's Corner is present day Shirley, just over the county line in Salem County. This makes sense as I have info about them living in that part of Cumberland previously. I'd like to know your source for that. Your info about Henry Rubert being buried in Overbrook Cemetary is correct (as I've been there several times) and Minnie is buried there next to him. I can authorize you to look at my tree on Ancestry, I'm afraid it is not as extensive as I would like as I have been working on other family branches recently. Also a quick look at Google Earth shows present day Sundern,Levern, Stemwede in Westphalia which I believe is the "Zundern" you mention and nearby is a Haldem, Dielingen, Stemwede which you also mention. both are in Westphalia and were part of Prussia. They are also not far from Bremen. Blake ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
