Witnesses: Jeremiah Weldon and Sosthenes Goff ----------------- Cumberland County, NJ, Deeds 64: 78 1837 Sep 2 Amariah F. Rose & "Elonor" his wife sold the lot mentioned above to Joshua Corson [Jr] for $110. Witness Joel S. Robinson [JP] "William Hackett was seized of at the time of his death and was conveyed to the aforesaid Amariah F. Rose by Henry Hampton, James Ward, and Joel S. Robinson, commisioners..." 1835 subject to widow's dower. "Eleanor Rose was the widow of William Hacket Dec'd..." She conveys her right of dower. ------------------- I believe marriage records show that William Hackett married Eleanor Polhemus. Hackett must have built a house on the lot which was reflected in the huge appreciation of value. Jeremiah Weldon also bought part of the Hollingshead survey and held other nearby land.
