She was my Grandfather's first wife. I found the following news article from the Wellsboro Agitater dated Wednesday, May 1, 1907... DEATH: Mr. Albert Stadler was called to Millvale, N.J. last Wednesday to attend the funeral of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Herman Stadler of Kane, McKean County, who was poisoned by a nurse Sunday, April 21st. The nurse administratered to her patient a large dose of carbolic acid by mistake and Mrs. Stadler, who had given birth to a child a short time ago, was in so weakened a condition that nothing could be done to save her life, although everything known to medical skill was done for her. Her husband and three children survive her. Mrs. Stadler was 30 years of age. During the funeral services a high wind arose and blew down a large brick smoke stack on a factory in Millvale, killing three girls. The mother of one of the victems was in attendance at the Stadler funeral at the time. The 3 children she left behind were: Herman Stadler Jr., Claire and the infant she had just given birth to, Katherine. My Grandfather, Herman, then married Anna Mary GRAY of Bridgeton. She was the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Nee RAPP) GRAY. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
