Except I'm not as far along as you are! The Ralph Smith you have being born in 1788 maybe my great, great, greatgrand father! We were told there were 6 straight generations of Ralph Smith's. (Middle name may have been Thomas-assuming they named them all exactly-middle name and all) 3 generations are buried here in WV. And we know that the first one was born here in 1806 or 1807 when it was still Virginia! My mother did some genealogy 20 years ago at WVU Morgantown Library and had scribbled down some notes and had put Lycoming County PA-Williamsport Township!
