Malcolm, Thanks for the reply. I really don't have any info on my ggrandfather Frank Scudder. I know at one time he lived in Fairton (Fairfield Twp). He married Augusta Stevens who I think was from an area near Fairton called Back Neck. They had 3 children named Anna, Lillian(b.1883-d.1965?--my grandmother) and William "Will". Frank would have probably been born about 1860. Hopefully there is a connection to your James because your towns mentioned are all in So. NJ where my family came from.
