About Burton... my uncle Burt Alcorn still lives in Millville and your graduation date of 1966 is close to the time when he would have been in or completed high school. Seeing "Burton" in your earlier post sparked a fond memory of my great uncle Burton Alcorn who lived in Port Norris. I remember visiting grandmother, Isabel Alcorn (nee Holmes), on Sunday mornings and then walking across the street to Burton's house where he'd usually have a few candies to hand out. Burton was the closest I'd get to having a grandfather. His brother and my paternal grandfather, William Henry Alcorn, and my maternal grandfather, Peter Jurick, were both dead by the time I was born in 1955. I have Burton's bible. It is poor shape and deteriorating. I fear there is no salvaging it. A couple pages contain hand-written birth and marriage records. My parents tell me he gave it to them several days before he died.
