    1. Re: How do I find service records for Bridgeton, N.J.?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: ALEXANDER, WEST Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wQB.2ACE/1106.1.1 Message Board Post: Barbara, Oh, you are wonderful. I just received a reply from someone else that said that they had some old photographs from that studio as well, but didn’t know the first name of the photographer. Now that I think about it, I think I have some more in my great grandmother’s photograph album that say W.E. Bridgeton. I will have to look. (That name sounded familiar when you said it, but I just didn’t put the two and two together until now.) Now I’m really curious to find out who this guy is. This picture is only about a half an inch long, and it looks extremely old. I can barely read the words. But like I told the other lady that I am writing to that since I worked with college students for almost five years, I can read almost anything! Well, to help you with dates if I can… G.W. was born c.a. 1844. So, my guess is that mine is when he was much older like possible 1880’s, because he married someone from New Jersey in 1874, and that would be the only reason for him to be in New Jersey if that makes sense since he lived in Illinois. William ALEXANDER was born before 1810 but after 1803. So, it could be either one of the two men. I’d love for it to be William, but I only have few pictures of G.W. when he was younger. It’s too bad that the three of us couldn’t compare photographs.
