Hello. I am looking for information or guidance as how to obtain information about my 3rd great grandfather Abraham Loper. He married a Rachel who was born in 1799 and died between 1850-1860. He had a housekeeper Mary Russell on the 1860 census. There was another Abraham Loper who died in the same year who married a Rachel Bowen, but I have seen their years of birth much earlier than my 3rd great grandparents. Abraham's will is available in the Cumberland Document Collection online (http://www.cchistsoc.org/virt_lib/documents/layout.asp?Doc=W37&Page=1&Collection=2&Categories=all&Order=StartDate&Terms=) He had these children: Samuel Houston Loper (b.1833) Mark Loper (b.1820) Jacob Loper (b. 1836 - we have no record of him and he's not in the will, but he was on a census) Rachel B. Loper (b. 1841/1842 d. 1875) married Daniel H. Nichols Mary C. Loper (b. aug 1829 d. april 19, 1910) married Joseph Archibald Clark Alpheus Jr. b. 1826 Jane Loper (b. 1824 d. april 22, 1857) married Isaac Clark, Jr. I have a comprehensive chart starting at Abraham and forward and I am looking for Rachel's maiden name and anything about their families.
