I wish I still had that dollhouse! He had put miniature wall paper on the walls and doorknobs on the doors and even a hand-carved commode on the porch! I loved it. it still had the bird holes in the back and it used to sit in front of my nightlight--the holes letting thru an eerie light from the inside-- and I would be terrified imagining the dolls were walking around their house at night. I swear I could see tiny shadows pass by the curtains and see the curtains move! I remember being told to give 'Postie' a kiss goodbye as a child and he would always squeeze me very tight and rub his prickly whiskered chin on my cheek and make me squeal! I didn't see him after my grandmother died but maybe a couple of times. And the old house burned down shortly after that. I hope he was happy his last few years. He was always kind to me. Ravyn
