Greetings All, My name is John Fea and I teach American history at Messiah College in Grantham, PA (near Harrisburg).  I am completing a biography of Philip Vickers Fithian and could use some genealogical help.  I benefited a great deal from the members of this list while I was in the early stages of my research back in 1999-2000 and I have come to place where I once again need to rely on your expertise. Any help would be much appreciated.  I am trying to trace the maternal side of PVF's family and am having little luck.  I know that Philip's father married Hannah Vickers in 1746, but with the exception of a few wills, I have been unable to gather any uinformation on the Vickers who lived in Fairfield and Greenwich during the 18th century.  It seems that the original settler to the area, Philip Vickers, came to Fairfield (New England Town) at the turn of the 18th century and died about 1703. I believe that he descended from (or near) Fairfield, CT, but that is about it.  Perhaps his last name was Vicars or Vicary. Does anybody know anything about Hannah's roots? Thanks.
