Tricia, Have you been to the Lummis Library in Greenwich? I recommend you look at the handwritten book/manuscript on fiche (they have the hard copy and a fiche at Vineland Hist. Society.. the fiche printer at Lummis is on the fritz.. but it's open both weekend days and Vineland's not) commonly referred to as the Charles Sheppard Papers. (I said that and showed her a handwritten page I had and she knew what I was talking about at Lummis). Mr. Sheppard listed a lot of families with trees and what happened to them. He probably included your family as there were a bunch of Woodruffs back then. If you are looking for descendants and not ancestors.. You could trace them through the cenus until 1930 (last census year) and then see if any males are still alive and in the phonebook (easier to find than females). It worked for me. I found my 80 yr old second cousin that way :) -andrea On 18 Jul 2005 11:56:07 -0600, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: woodruff, mulford > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wQB.2ACE/1124 > > Message Board Post: > > Am looking for the family of Deborah Mulford who married David Woodruff in > Salem NJ about 1801.
