Heisler Silvers was first married to Isabel Kell, both were from Millville,N.J. When she died [ sometime between the 1920 and 1930 census] he later[ after 1930] married a woman whose first name was Roberta.Since my mom was very young when she knew them[ they died when she was very young] she does not know what roberta's maiden name was or if she had any family, and what ever happened to her. My aunt is named after her because my grandmom always said she treated her very well- as if she were her own daughter. Can any one out there help me find out who she was???? 3. Just because his/her death certificate or obit says Mt. Pleasant doesn't mean they were buried there. I've found a few relatives who aren't where their death certificates/obits say they are. Big surprises :) -andrea -- Cumberland County Genealogists can order a 2 CD set of high resolution photographs of the original records of the Old Cohansey Baptist Church at Roadstown! He is a very nice and accommodating person. I think that he cares very much about the cemetery, but still the records will always outlive us all. It just worries me when I hear horror stories of records that were thrown out because someone else didn't see the need for them. My mother for instance, decided that when she got divorced from my father that she would just throw out all the wedding photos and anything of that kind. I have nothing of their wedding because she is that kind of person that has no need for anything from yesterday back. She doesn't understand why I love this hobby, but then again I don't think most of us understand what draws us to genealogy. I just know that I love it. 1. [NJCUMBER] Mt Pleasant
    2. I think everyone should help Mr. Millard. If you know of someone who does not have a tombstone, you could notify him of this. Then follow up with a document showing this, such as a death certificate. Someone is doing this, Mr. Millard is. He is very knowledgeable and very precise. He has spent at least a year and a half doing this. I think everyone should be grateful to him, not critical. He has given a lot of time to this and also helped Saturday when they tried to repair the damage done by vandals. Genealogy has been a passion of his for many years. It really doesn't matter if the records are kept in an attic or a basement. The important thing is that they are safe and not in danger of getting wet etc. Mr. Reeves may have a wonderful basement. The books are in good shape. **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products. (http://money.aol.com/special/hot-products-2007?NCID=aoltop00030000000001)

    3. Sandie ... I didnt see where anyone was being critical about anything. Just stating that it would be good to have all the records copied and kept in a separate place just in case anything should ever happen. Basements do tend to flood now and then, so the concern was genuine for the records not an attack on what any one person is doing out of the goodness of their hearts. I do appreciate everything that is being done. I have ancestors there, but am not in a place that I can be there to help with any of it. So far I have only read positive comments by posters. 3. Oh George ... that would be wonderful. And please don't think I was judging Mr Reeves. I'm sure that he takes excellent care of the records in his possession. I was just thinking it would be a good safeguard to have them copied and kept at another location - such as the historical society or somewhere like that. I wouldn't think that keeping them in on of the garages at the cemetery would be a good idea either. I do know that Mr Reeves knows what he has and just where to look in all those records. I had the chance to go to Mt Pleasant a couple of years ago. I had to call Mr Reeves to locate my great grandparents graves ... he had an answer for me in less than an hour .... and I not only found my great grandparents, but my gggranparents buried right next to them. I do appreciate what he does and his knowledge of the records and cemetery. 3. Maybe the best people to do this would be either the Millville Historical Society or maybe the LDS, as they travel to different place to scan things like this. I know that anytime I have George Reeves, he has always tried to be helpful, but yes I agree that the records should be scanned by another party of interest. I know when I had called for listing of an ancestor in the Frenchtown Cemetery (Hunterdon County), he also kept the records in his basement.
