Hi Kieth, Do you perhaps have any records from The "Old Cemetery " in Bridgeton? Old Stone? Presbyterian? Or other name for it? The family belonged to St Andrews Episcopal Church in Bridgeton. I am looking for my grandparents George and Ida HENSHALL both died in 1918, and two uncles: George Leon HENSHALL and the eldest Joseph B. HENSHALL. George Leon died in the late 1920s or early 1930s. And there may be my aunt Maggie who died with diphtheria before 1900. I did not have any luck with Findagrave. But maybe this cemetery has not been listed yet. If any lister knows anything about this church and burying ground, please let me know. Many thanks, Mary Bramell HENSHALL Kurtz ----- Original Message ----- From: <KAllen5206@aol.com> To: <njcumber@rootsweb.com> Cc: <nj55turtle@comcast.net> Sent: Sunday, December 30, 2007 12:14 AM Subject: Re: [NJCUMBER] Scarlet Fever--- 1891-1892 > Hi Steve & List members, > > What Cemetery in Pittsgrove ( I Live close to them), and what was her > name? > > The reason I ask is, I have transcribed many of the cemeteries in > Pittsgrove, Salem Co., ( as well as some in Cumberland Co.,) I may have > her info > already....and I have posted it all to the Internet. > > One way to search through them yourself is _www.findagrave.com_ > (http://www.findagrave.com) (Findagrave.com) and then click on New > Jersey, then Salem > County... and then each cemetery at your leisure. > > I hope this has been of help to you. > > Best Regards, > Keith S Allen > > > In a message dated 12/29/2007 10:49:59 P.M. I am trying to find any info on Father Thomas B. Healy who elevated to Priesthood in abt 1887 in Vineland. He was the first "parish" priest for Lakwood. And gave Sacred Heart Church statues. He died on 9 Dec. 1910 from TB. I am assuming he died in Lakewood. I have been in contact with Trenton Diocese for info but all files were destroyed in 1956. Sacred Heart Church internet contact info does not work at this time. I do not have Ancestry access anymore to look at Census records. Can someone offer any info for me? Sorry, nothing for William Weaver in 1980. Hackett's, sorry I'll need more information; there are 2,422 obituaries listed in the U.S. Back to Weaver's, for New Jersey newspapers there are 156 obits. Unfortunately, they are from 2006 to the current. They are adding old papers and new papers all the time. Maybe, sometime in the future, it will show up for William. -------------- Original message -------------- From: milonas3@comcast.net > Hello, > I would like an obit lookup for William Weaver. I have an interest in a Hacket(t) in Camden and/or Cumberland Cty. This is a Lydia Hacket(t) who in 1838 married Benjamin Webb Brown, came to reside in Camden, and with whom she had five children, I'd be interested in any information concerning her and her offspring. Haines Brown

These could both be the same person, but as I have never confirmed that I have not merged them. I do have documented fact that John Hackett (born 1819), which I believe is your line was born in Dayton, Ohio. This is what is listed in the Cumberland County Clerks Records. Hi Steve, My Aunt Sarah Kandle's tombstone says 26 May 1893 and there's no death certificate on file for her or her daughter Nancy Rosell who died 16 Sep 1894. (tombstones next to each other) and they both lived in Pittsgrove. (I checked the microfilms myself) Daniel Christy had a funeral home in Elmer who dealt with deaths in 1903 and 1920 for relatives who died in Pittsgrove. There was also the [Harry] Garrison funeral home in Bridgeton in 1920 for my relative who died in Pittsgrove. R. C. Cole dealt with one in 1919 from Friesburg. I just looked at death certifs for my family that died in Pittsgrove, not many.. I hope that helps! -a On Dec 31, 2007 3:41 PM, <nj55turtle@comcast.net> wrote: > For those who have tried to answer my post, here is a clarification and additional info.. > > Trenton has not been able to locate a death certificate based on the Jan. 1, 1892 date I gave them (this is the date on the tombstone). > > My great grandmother's name is Sara PICKHOLTZ. > > Alliance cemetery, Pittsgrove, Salem county, no longer has records that go back that far. > > Pittsgrove Twn. is missing all kinds of records including death, from 1885 to 1900. > > The county governments will only help if I know what town she died in. Hello All, Happy New Year! I posted a map showing the early settlements of New Jersey. It's under maps at http://www.midatlanticarchives.com As for the book "Historical Collections of the State of New Jersey", several people have pointed out that is already online in several places so I will no longer be scanning and uploading that one. Thanks to those who pointed to links to this book for me - it is a great reference for us all.
