Oliver's diary refers to a Langley neighbor a couple of times, too, so please keep us posted. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I do not have time to write much as my husband is in the hospital. My grandfather's family came from Hungary to farm. The land was not farmable I was told so they went into businesses in Millville and Vineland region. Harriet **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Watch video on AOL Living. Hello: Does anyone know the best place to find information on the Jewish Farm Communities particularly in Carmel? I found info from the Jewish Archives in New York that included mortgages. I wondered if the mortgages were recorded anywhere as I think they were privately made. I believe my great great grandfather had a relative in Carmel and first went there before settling in Philly. Any ideas on where to start would be appreciated. I am at a very dead end with tracing this part of my family; Weisfeld/Weisfield Thanks, Susan Gurman Lansdale, Pa.
Thanks to all the people who responded on the Dare Family burial ground on old Dare Ave on the south bank of Indian Run! If anyone would like the results of our investigation of all the leads, just send me an email at davebates77@hotmail.com Anyone else know anything? The last known documentation, so far, of the gravestones was in 1893, although I did find what I believe is a broken piece of a gravestone on the bank of the creek. I'll be checking the County Courthouse this week.

Was just wondering - I have an 1893 map showing a small Family Burial Ground just south of the bridge across Indian Run (a bridge that is no longer there) next to Dare Ave (also no longer marked or paved) which runs south from Irving Ave in Bridgeton. Anyone out there ever hear of or see these graves? I am doing some more searching in the County Courthouse basement tomorrow, but thought maybe someone may have some memories to share?

Hello Researchers, While tracking down some children of my John Husted, b. 1758, I found BURCH and DAVIS people in this cemetery. I know that the BURCH name was in NJ, and I think the Davis name was also. http://www.interment.net/data/us/oh/mercer/swamp/index.htm Two of John's daughters (Polly and Elizabeth) married brothers: George and John Haneline (Hainline, Hanley, etc.) They stayed in Mercer County and both sisters died young. I have details for those interested. Kathie -- M. Kathleen Felsted mkfelsted@gmail.com

For all of you researching the Key family. My husband's grandmother was raised in Millville. She left many writtings and pictures. Among the pictures is a picture of Jerome Key. In her writtings she mentions a Lula Key, the Key Farm and Jerome Key. I'm not sure of the time frame of Jerome. She was born in 1880 and left NJ around 1910. If anyone is interested in the picture I will copy and email it.
