I think that the William and Ellen link might be our John's (&mary)parents. I had put away alot of my research and have actually duplicated some of it, and still stand by the fact that John had a sister named Ellen who was married to an Elmer Biggs. I have truly come to the conclusion that staying in one place too long just isn't in the Hackett genes! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Theodore R. VonBartheld
    3. Hello Everyone I am looking back in the past, and remember when my father was in show business and did a show at the New Jersey Old Soldiers Home on Northwest Blvd. there at Vineland, NJ. We lived on that same Blvd. but father out on it; I do not think that the old home place would be there any more. Anyway it is the show that I am looking for information on, my father was the producer and I was in it. I was about 5 years old at that time, that would have made it around 1951 my fathers name was Theodore R. vonbartheld but I believe he only used BARTHELD he was Sr. and yes I was Jr. What I am trying to do is to find a flyer or poster on this event and get a copy since it listed me as well but even if it did not it is a piece of history on my family. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I will thank you now for any help you can give me. Thank you until we talk again, peace be with you and yours. Theodore R. VonBartheld - in Alabama

She was my Grandfather's first wife. I found the following news article from the Wellsboro Agitater dated Wednesday, May 1, 1907... DEATH: Mr. Albert Stadler was called to Millvale, N.J. last Wednesday to attend the funeral of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Herman Stadler of Kane, McKean County, who was poisoned by a nurse Sunday, April 21st. The nurse administratered to her patient a large dose of carbolic acid by mistake and Mrs. Stadler, who had given birth to a child a short time ago, was in so weakened a condition that nothing could be done to save her life, although everything known to medical skill was done for her. Her husband and three children survive her. Mrs. Stadler was 30 years of age. During the funeral services a high wind arose and blew down a large brick smoke stack on a factory in Millvale, killing three girls. The mother of one of the victems was in attendance at the Stadler funeral at the time. The 3 children she left behind were: Herman Stadler Jr., Claire and the infant she had just given birth to, Katherine. My Grandfather, Herman, then married Anna Mary GRAY of Bridgeton. She was the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Nee RAPP) GRAY. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My Daniel S. Smith line ended up in Lycoming Co. PA. I suspect your line broke off somewhere in Northumberland Co. or Lycoming Co. Pa. and went on to VA. Several years ago I searched the census for those PA counties and I seem to remember the name Ralph Smith cropping up. These were before 1850 though and no way of knowing names of wives or children. Have you checked the 1810 census of VA for a Ralph Smith? If you know a definite place in VA then you could search those county records for possibly a will that might mention relatives in Lycoming Co. PA I think there were some Ralph Smiths in 1780's and later in Lycoming Tax records. I just recently canceled my ancestry.com subscription. If I still had it I would do some searching for you. I haven't worked on my Smith line for a long time. I've been busy getting a book published. Who is your Smith ancestor back as far as you can go? Is it in VA? If you can give me a name with birth dates, death dates and places as well as a spouse with maiden name, I would try to find something. I have ben doing genealogy oer 50 years. Good luck. Except I'm not as far along as you are! The Ralph Smith you have being born in 1788 maybe my great, great, greatgrand father! We were told there were 6 straight generations of Ralph Smith's. (Middle name may have been Thomas-assuming they named them all exactly-middle name and all) 3 generations are buried here in WV. And we know that the first one was born here in 1806 or 1807 when it was still Virginia! My mother did some genealogy 20 years ago at WVU Morgantown Library and had scribbled down some notes and had put Lycoming County PA-Williamsport Township!
