I always wondered about other branches of the Key tree, and I'm finding out. I lost all my geneology in my last move, and am working to get it restored, plus any new data I can gather. This is a huge help for me. Aunt Alice never really mentioned any of the cousins much. I don't think my grandfather mentioned them much either, but I can ask my mother about it. I don't know how much recent history you have, but I'll give you the basics. C. Everett (my grandfather) had Virginia (my mother) and Robert (my uncle). My mother, had Terry (me) and Patricia (who has 3 boys of her own). Robert, is married to Barbara (Brown) had Judith and John. Aunt Alice never had any children, and talked of Elizabeth alot. I don't know if she ever had children either. Clarence and Mildred had Charles. We don't hear from him, he's the black sheep of the family. I do know he has about 3 kids of his own. I am glad to have contact with another member of the Key clan...even if only a distant cousin. -Terry Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am wondering if she maybe the daughter of Robert Levingston who's mother would have been Sarah (Boyd?) we are not sure of her maiden name! Along with Charles Clark on the estate record an Ephriam Brooke/Brooks also witnessed it. There are proven connections of our family to Jamaica, Henry Beekman Livingston D:1803 in New Bern Craven County, NC. He was the son of Gilbert Livingston Jr. and Joy Darrell of the New York branch. This family settled in Jamaica! He is also on the 1790 Federal census in craven County with Samuel Livingston IV, who would be Robert Levingston's grand-nephew! Rachel was born on 7 July 1743, died 22 Oct 1822. So the age of Daniel may also be incorrect. Their Math skills were not always the greatest back then. He would have been 34 at his death. Since his 7 children children were born between 1762 and 1773 to his two wives, I kinda doubt he was 63 when his youngest was born. While not being impossible, being 22 thru 33 years of age at his children's births makes more sense. I have also seen those old tombstones, the numbers were very ornate and easily misread. There is a record of a Charles Clark, age 21, arriving in Baltimore from Jamaica in 1737. His first son Daniel was born in 1740, so this may be the same Charles. Mary married Samuel Fithian b 12 Oct 1715 in 1764, which would fit logically with Charles Clark's death. No other exact dates were collected for Charles and Mary by previous historians. Ironically, their son Daniel b 25 July 1740 also married a second wife named Rachel Fithian after his first wife (anna Holmes)died in 1772, probably meeting her through his relationship with his step-father's family. Data from that family is rather sketchy, so if I locate any additional info, I'll let you know. Thanks for posting that will info!
