He was living there when the 1910 census was taken, as well as his wife and 4 daughters. My aunt related to me that she was told that during the week my great-grandmother and the daughters "lived in town" in a boardinghouse so that the daughters could go to school, as the lighthouse was surrounded by marsh and you couldn't just walk to school from there. Is there anybody with a good knowledge of the area that could make a guess as to what town would've had a school in 1910 that these daughters would've attended? Fortescue? Port Norris? Mauricetown? After ANNA "ANNIE" BELLE (HAND)BISHOP was widowed, she married second, abt. 1891, MILTON HAND and lived in West Cape May, Cape May County, NJ with her three children from her first marriage. There was no issue from the second marriage to MILTON HAND. I have not been able to make a connection, so far, with the ANNA B.
