Looking for further information and/or connections to Albert Franklin Bateman (b. 1828 d. 1913 in Cedarville, NJ) His wife's name was Mary Jane. Daughter was Fannie Reeves Bateman b. 24 Dec 1860 in Cedarville and d. 26 Oct 1950 in Boonton, NJ. I'd really like to know Mary Jane's maiden name, and any other data on Albert. Thanks, Jan Grube
I'm looking for information on these townships. Do they still exist under these names? The birthplace of one of my ancestors is cited as Cedarville, NJ, Fairfield Township. But someone else just gave me data that cites Down Township, Cumberland County as his birthplace. Are these close? And was Cedarville originally part of Salem County? Jan Grube

Frank -- I visited there in early March and they're open parts of the day on Weds, Fridays, Sundays -- and an occasional other day and are contemplating a night opening depending on volunteers. Write to the P O Box and you'll probably get a response. As I recall, annual membership is $20? But it might be less? Lots of stuff to look at! Regards, Jeanne

I have received from a researcher in England the names of a number of my family members who were known glassworkers in that country in the 1700s and 1800s. In his response he asked for information about glass factories of that period in the US. Although many of my Cliff and Montgomery ancestors worked at glass plants in NJ and elsewhere I have no definitive information that I can forward to him. Can anyone suggest the source of such information that I can acquire at a reasonable price. Thanks, Don Cliff
I am descended from John Wortle Brooks Dec.1845--June 1910. I have names of all his children and many grandchildren. He and his brother Thomas W. were well known shoemakers in Elmer and Camden, originally coming from England. If any of this sounds familiar or you can share names, please contact me. Thanks, Joan in NJ
Bill Thanks so much for the info. Thomas was my grandfather's (John "Jack" Henry Brooks) younger brother. Are you descended from Brooks also? Do you have any leads relating to Thomas' parents, my ggrandparents, John Wortle Brooks or Louisa Hose Brooks. Joan in NJ
