    1. [NJCAMDEN-L] A lesson learned!
    2. Vincent Edward Summers
    3. Is to look at your own literature! I have Prowell's History of Camden County and CD #190 from Broderbund. Here is what I got out of my sources, and what maybe another can help me with... CD#190, Broderbund, Index of Biographies of 1800's New Jersey lists this reference to Samuel C. Cooper... Cooper Samuel C., b. 1840. Prow 227, WhJ 2:279-280 Prow = Prowell, which gives the following paragraph... SAMUEL C. COOPER was born in Camden in 1840, and is the son of Joseph W. Cooper. He received his primary education at the Grover School, in Camden, and entered Haverford College in 1855. In 1859, he entered the law office of Richard W. Howell, remained with him until his death, and then entered the office of the Honrable [sic] Thomas H. Dudley, and when Mr. Dudley was appointed consul to Liverpool he entered the office of Judge Woodhull. He was admitted at the February term of court, 1863. I hope the other names listed here benefit others. The lesson learned is to check whatever sources you have yourself, no? Please assist with the WhJ 2:279-280 reference if you can. That stands for Whitehead, John. The judicial and civil history of New Jersey. Boston, 1897. Thanks, Vince
