I recently posted that my Adele Annie Kite was apparently adopted by a Samuel Cooper. Indeed, I believe the birth parent of my Adele Annie Kite was Joseph Sellers Kite, railroad agent (this could be the connection, employment), or maybe it was one of his sons. The 1859 Philadelhia City Directory gives a COOPER SAMUEL C., real estate office 221 N 6th. Quite likely Samuel C. Cooper married Annie's mother, based on this communication... Received in the mail yesterday obituaries for Wilson Fitzgerald and his son, John Lawrence Fitzgerald. John died on 23 January 1888. It stated that he married a step-daughter of Samuel Cooper (a millionaire real estate owner) and had a seven year old son, names of wife and son omitted.-- Bill Colehour.
