    1. [NJCAMDEN] Camden vs other counties
    2. I agree with Deborah Johnson, I don't think it hurts getting information that perhaps should be on a neighboring county mailing list. I'm from Fairfield County, Connecticut and although I belong to the Fairfield County List, I belong to the New Haven and Hartford Counties Lists as well since some issues know no county line. I know my state fairly well, but I don't know squat about New Jersey and especially Southern New Jersey and specifically Camden County and those counties immediately surrounding Camden. What limited information I have on the movements of my ancestors places a Great-aunt Mary Elizabeth Donnelly somewhere in the greater Camden area in the summer of 1870. Her father James Emmett Donnelly arrived in Philadelphia from Ireland sometime around 1858-60, but moved up to Connecticut before the Civil War, but I know at least one brother arrived before he did in Philly. Perhaps when Mary Elizabeth traveled down from Bridgeport, CT to Camden at the age of 17 to visit cousins they didn't actually live in Camden, but rather the train or stagecoach stopped in Camden but they lived in a town in a neighboring county, that didn't have a train or coach stop or perhaps, her relatives met her there and then they traveled via ferry to Philly. I appreciate MaisieAnn for posting what she has on the census lists in New Jersey. As my ancestors were Irish born as were their cousins, I'm looking for people who were from Ireland on the lists and I've been copying those Irish to my own list. I have a few people who might be possibilities, but unfortunately, I've been copying MaisieAnn for only a year or so and I don't think I have any from Camden county. I hope she does return to Camden County or someone else has been copying her posts and could give me the Camden lists so I can copy the Irish names. Ed Hagerty Monroe, CT
