While surfing the web I was came across the text of "First Settlers Of Newton Township" ( I think that's right) which I had read parts of before. One thing I had never come across was a reference to a diary kept by Joseph Mickle Hinchman, Sr from 1811-1827. It states that this contains historical & genealogical, as well as personal information. This is my husbands direct line. Has anyone ever heard of or seen this book/diary? I am hoping to locate a copy or maybe find where a copy may be kept.
