If this is a privately owned cemetery, it costs this business money to have their staff do research. Should you have received notice before they did the work? Sure. Is $100.00 too much money? Again, depends if your request stated "tell me what ancestors of mine are there" vs. "is John Smith b. 4/3/1802 there" Sorry for your experience.
