Can someone please tell me a way to find out if this address was a house or maybe an orphanage/home for children in 1920/1921? 1741 Van Beuren Street, Camden, NJ. I tried looking through Camden's 1920/1930 census but couldn't find anything. Thank you, Karen
Karen, Could the address be 1743 Master St.? That was the location of the Mary J. Ball Day Nursery and Orphanage. It's quite possible they also had the house at 1741 also. There was a thread about this home on the Rootsweb Message Board for Camden County a while ago. Karen, have you checked the city directories? Some years even give the name of the property owners.
