Jane! Good morning. Read your post RE: Delanco Camp Meeting, yesterday. Last night, I spoke to my mother a preacher's wife and senior services director @ Haddonfield UMC and she knew all about it. The Delanco Camp Meeting Association originated in the town Delanco, NJ (Burlington County). It was founded as a "holiness" (Asbury College type theology rather than Drew University type theology) camp meeting. She wasn't sure of the founding date. She thought that it was established sometime in the 1800's. In 1965 or so, the association moved to Tabernacle, NJ (Burlington County). Today, the association describes itself as a Wesleyan inter-denominational holiness camp meeting association.
